Hi, I’m Matthew.
I’m a private tutor specialising in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, working mainly with National 5 and Higher students (Scottish Curriculum.)
I focus on building understanding and confidence and my sessions are structured, supportive and tailored to each student’s level, pace and learning style. I break down topics into clear steps, use worked examples, and believe I can always find a way to explain any idea to any student.
I have a degree in Chemical Engineering and several years’ experience tutoring secondary-school students, primarily through MyTutor. I communicate clearly with parents and students to identify strengths and weaknesses early in order to set clear goals and track progress over time.
Lessons are available online, through Zoom, where I use my drawing tablet to deliver the majority of the lesson through visual explanations and demonstrating how to tackle a question step by step.
